Brilliant. In a great spot where the fruit has become very nicely integrated, soft tannins.

Last bottle, PnP, consistent enjoyable experience, very nice moderately priced everyday wine.

Classic Merlot predominant claret. Not much sign of aging. Narrow rim but body still deep purple. Dark primary fruits on the nose with underlying oak notes. The palate too shows little softening as yet: blackberry and oak spice. Tannins still tight but not unpleasant. Nice lively acidity. Altogether coming together nicely and will continue to develop over the coming 3-5 years.

A dark colour; soft, ripe, quite concentrated fruit, still with youthful vigour. Good now, but some way from full maturity (5+ years).

Deep cherry red, no hint of any real age. Decanted for 1hr then consumed over the following 3. Initial nose sweet damsons, dark cherries and sweet wood. Elegant fragrance. Tannins present but very smooth and elegant. Medium body with damsons, hints of strawberry and vanilla with a smokey and medium finish into graphite and hint of slate. Very good QPR, drinking very very well now as a mid-weeker

Bottle 14 of 16. As before, very nice enjoyable wine, perfect for every day, and super QPR at 17 EUR. Perhaps I will buy some more.

I`ve been trying various bordeaux wines over time and this one stood out for me. I refrigerate my wine over night after opening and I am sure this has a positive effect.

The Wine Society Autumn 2025 Press Tasting (Southwark) : Outstanding for the outlay, but there are still limits. Red, black and blue fruited, drinks well. Not much tertiary flavours in evidence, am not getting any leather, dust, sandalwood etc. Basically not a lot of complexity despite the age. Alternatively it could be that by wine #88 my taste buds are knackered of course.

Next bottle, PnP, wine is now fully ready and apparently at its plateau. It will stay there for a few years but I don´t think it will continue to get better.

As a surprise to me, this wine gets better and better and now is at least at the level of the awesome 2010. Medium bodied, tannins integrated, full of fruit, and many years of life ahead.

Recommended as something comparable to the 2015 lanessan, which I enjoyed a lot, and was the first bordeaux that i really liked. Had this pnp over two days, vacuum-sealed and stored it in the fridge in between. Nose: some dark but not overripe fruit, though, varnishy, meaty, and barnyard aromas dominate, Med-intensity Color: opaque purple with a dark streak Palate: what I enjoyed most about the lanessan was the salty iodine note, which this wine developed more poronouncedly on the …

Much better than my last bottle, medium bodied, at the start of full maturity, rather smooth. Bottle variation?

I had in total 48 bottles of the wonderful 2010 which I enjoyed very much especially around the year 2020. I now opened a bottle 2016 to see whether it is worthwhile to buy a higher number of bottles. In comparison to 2010 the 2016 turned out to be rather diasappointing, at least at this stage, by far less hedonistic and even a bit thin. I will keep my remaining bottles for a while, perhaps they need more time but …

Dark, very structured lots of fruit. Subtle nose but palate is full of dark fruits, has a bit of spice and flowers that are subtle. Holding well, will improve over time.

Initially big fruit (wild blueberries) and cinnamon in the nose. Mellows to tobacco, dark cherries, and warm spices after opening a couple of hours. Nice structure with drying tannins—really needs steak or other meaty dish. Very nice Bordeaux!

Dark fruits on the nose, finish is lingering, not a fully incorporated finish.

Rich deep fruit aromas, has earthy element. Deep dark color, no significant sign of age. Delicious! Has a polished, gentle palate grip with caressing acids and tannins. Fills the mouth with a flavorful and texturally complex experience. Could age, but I'm enjoying this a lot right now.

This medium/full-bodied wine is balanced, pleasant, fruity and intensive on the palate. With its fresh acids and grippy tannins, the wine is structured, but by no means in a harsh way. The wine is displaying nice notes of dark and red berries, ink and wet forest floor. This wine is tasty now, especially after decanting, but it is also suitable for mid-term ageing.

Classically Bordeaux with good black fruits, faint spice, roasted meat, and firm tannins. More structured and less elegant vs what I expected based on previous entry level 2016 Bordeaux. Better to cellar, since I think there is plenty of fruit here.

Not bad, not special but very drinkable. Some heat and some lingering finish but otherwise pretty mild and straightforward. Solid but unremarkable. Could be a good qpr depending on the p.
