Recent reviewers have had quite a range of experiences with this wine, and happily our bottle was one of the good ones. Lovely after a two hour decant with mostly red fruits, soft and delicious with a satisfying finish. Excellent on its own before dinner and with a hearty beef stew. Not tremendously deep and complex but thoroughly enjoyable. Doesn't seem to be teetering on the brink, but I don't see it improving so enjoy now. 91/92

Over the hill. Disappointing for a Spring Valley of this era. Cork looked good. Undrinkable when opened, but moved up to okay after being opened a couple days. If I had more I would be opening them yesterday.

Amazing still at this date in time. FYI my club member price was $40 for this wine and MSRP was $50 just to set the record straight. I would say if you have this wine, drink up. It's drinking well at the moment and its its peak/prime right now. This will please a lot of wine drinkers as its an easy drinker with or with out food.

Color ruby red with no signs of aging. Delicious!nose of soft red fruits, cherry, cranberry, palate continues on with red fruit flavors with just a subtle touch of cedar, finishes dry showing tannins that can still hold on for years. Very well made red that will drink well for many years ahead.

Evolving well with big tannnins but it needs more time or at least a rare steak. It's a lovely wine, though, a good example of what Washington can do with Bordeaux grapes and a steal when you can get it for $32 at Costco (vs. $75 at the winery). Quite the opposite of the sweet oakmonster Fidelitas M100 also on the table.

If you find this on a deal it's a great bargain. Solid red, stands up to "big foods" and you can age it. This one will drink well at least up to it's 10th birthday.

High density red with dark fruit , medium-high acidity and tannins. Softening a bit from prior tastings, so more drinkable now. Washington reds seem to need 10 yrs to be their best. Works now with a grilled steak but not with anything milder.

Better than past bottles. Not only more mature, but I opened a few hours in advance, and it smoother and quite nice now. Fruit is more plum and prune, tannins softer and still dusty, acidity moderated. Little anise and wet stone with the plum!

Much better after sitting in our cellar for a year. Nose: blackberry and cranberry, perfume, warm spices, tobacco Smooth mouthfeel with a lot of blackberry, tobacco. Long linger. Low tannins, more cranberry acidity

Agree with others that this is a good, straightforward wine, which perhaps leaves me wanting more for a wine of this price.

Decanted one hour, light sediment, last bottle of six, I Always had high hopes that this blend would come around with time, as I always found it a bit tannic and disjointed. Here we are a almost nine years after the first bottle and I believe my hopes have been fulfilled. Beautiful nose, lovely red plum, cherry, cassis, followed by soft tannins, yet firm acidity, very dry, with medium complexity.

Medium body. Medium acidity, red fruit, nice mineral background, but lacking tannin backbone. Pleasant but not complex nor interesting. Not up to the great Spring Valley standard. Good for a weekday burger wine or roast chicken.

Still shining, revising drink dates out to 2025 easily. In late first stage but still right after peak, very little bricking. Nose and taste of all the usual good WA Wine things in 2010: cool berry compote flavor, tobacco, earth. Finish is lasting. Needs 15-30 min opening, but then expressive and soft mouthfeel after. Nicer even on second day.

Medium-dark garnet color, with aromas of cedar, rose, and dry brush. Flavors of black cherry, blackberry and blueberry in a nice balance of fruit flavor, accented with dark chocolate and pomeganite. Very nice balance of fruit intensity, soft tannin, and acidity. This is a very nicely crafted wine. Long time to unwind, but very much worth the wait. This still has 2-4 more years in it.

Prior bottle was nearly 27 months ago and this wine has improved nearly exactly as I'd hoped. Nose remains quite similar with black cherry, floral, earth and spice notes. Nearly full bodied with a flavor profile (like the nose), very similar to my prior bottle: black cherry upfront (retaining just a touch of pretty brightness), then deeper, darker plum through the middle and tart black cherry and blackberry on the backside, before finishing with integrated spices, mineral qualities, currant and …

- Medium forming legs. It's balanced with a medium/full body. Juicy texture with a long finish - Firm in texture, with a grip of chewy tannins surrounding a sleek core of currant and plum fruit, showing intensity, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Last bottle!

An interesting and different nose of black cherry, earthiness, floral qualities and spices. Opened an hour in advance and drank over the next 3.5 hours. At cellar temperature, it was a bit too cool, but as it warmed and the longer it was open, the better it showed. A mix of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Cabernet Franc, 18% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot, it was to the medium side of full bodied (14.7% ABV). Black cherry upfront, backed with a …

Oh my, what a luscious wine. Dark fruits. Silky tannins. I poured through an aerator to soften the wine. I feared that a 2010 would be too young. But it is drinking just fine. Enough structure to hold up for several years, but not sure it will get much better. Not sure it can get much better! Not a new world fruit bomb, but certainly new world. Some subtlety .... herbs and leather. At $ 60 a decent wine. But …
