Opened to have with dinner. Light straw color. Nose - Honey, peach and wildflowers Taste - Pleasant acid bite, mellow grass ... this forgotten bottle aged well. Finish - Short. Described below as "green pepper" fits, though not unpleasant.

Popped and poured. Clear, very light straw color. Nose classic SB. Considering its age, it drank very nicely, better than expected. Good acid, more full bodied, not as sharp or grassy as young SB. Pleasant, easy to drink. Nothing off, drink now.

Malborough Sauvignon Blanc is so specific a type that I have yet to differentiate producers. This tastes to me like Brancott, which I'm familiar with because that's all one friend drinks when we eat at the bar. Grapefruit, celery, green apple, with the characteristic citrusy tang that holds one's interest. Reportedly past its prime, it was a pleasant complement to a vegetarian meal like tonight's: summer vegetable soup and gluten-free (drag, but...) pizza with black olives, feta, fresh tomatoes and …

A bit flat and zingy - definitely past its prime. (though it was amazing last summer!)

This wine survived a NY-Aruba-NY trip. You gotta love screwcap. Just as fresh, grapefruity and grassy as the other three bottles I've had of this vintage. Great nose, lively palate and crisp finish. Excellent Summer find and unbeatable QPR..

No Formal Notes Taken, WE enjoyed with with Tyler Florence's Moroccan Brick Chicken with CousCous. Exploding Grapefruit on the nose, and a lively acidity on the palate with tropical fruit and citrus galore. Will buy again, in greater volume, cannot beat the QPR on this one.

Still a wonderful NZ Sauv Blanc but less overtly fruity than last year. These wines aren't meant to age, are they?

Very, very good. Pale almost translucent in color. Aromas of grapefruit, fresh cut grass, and a zing of lemon zest. Palate of citrus, with a grapefruity finish, and also herbal and mineral notes.

Unscrewed and poured directly from fridge at 7C. Clear, pale yellow with green reflections. Same explosive nose referred to below - passion fruit and citrus abounds. Attack is crisp and lively, evolving into far less exotic flavours with lemony notes and tartness. Finish is short with a bitter note that reminds me of green pepper. While refreshing and undeniably attention getting with its huge nose I find the experience of this wine in the mouth comes up a little short. …

Pale green-yellow, all citrus (very grapefruity) and grass initially, but develops subtle slate & stone fruit (peach?) character after a couple hours. Medium weight, good acidity, decent length. Solid wine

Beautiful focused SB. This wine knows exactly what it is, and doesn't try to be anything different. A nice balanced melange of grapefruit and grass, medium body, and mouthfeel that balances acidity and richness perfectly.

clear light golden yellow color. peircing nose of tropical fruit, ripe pineapple, fresh cut grass, tomcat, kiwi, and some floral notes. great mouthfeel, well balanced with crisp racy acid, bright fruit flavors of chiramoya / soursop, citrus grapefruit, well hidden 13.5% alcohol, with a persistant finish.

My best SB from New Zealand so far! Intensive nose of lime, wet stones and grapefruit with hints of fig and passionfruit. The palate is dominated by a fine integrated acidity together with mouthcoating flavors of grapefruit and passionfruit, some lime and a light minerality. The super long finish fits perfect to this very impressive SB. A sure shot!
