Found a forgotten bottle of this in the cellar. Had it with linguine and clams. It was a little too much for the dish to keep up with. Still a little hot but a nice vanilla/almond with lychee on the palate. Still a pale golden color. Pleasantly surprised with the wine but I think we should have had a Pinot blanc with the dish. One of my favorite Italian white producers

Light gold in color. Peach and lychee on the palate. Flavor are more subtle than the last time I had it. I think it is time to drink it up.

Pale yellow color with excellent clarity. Aromas of pears, golden delicious apples, delicate floral notes. Citrus, apple, and wet stone accents in the mouth. A bit hot (15% alcohol!) after warming in the glass, so drink well-chilled for maximum enjoyment. Lingering citrusy tang on the finish. Excellent for sipping by itself or especially with lightly prepared fresh seafood, e.g., pan-seared scallops.

This is the way Pinot Grigio should taste. Depth and complexity.

Popped and poured. Not a fan of this wine at all. My wife even made quite the face when I had her sample it. Strange and off-putting. 78pts.

Weird finish, like my previous bottle. Suspecting they may have been cooked in transit.

This is a weird bottle (compared with my previous samples), lots of fruit but a weird almond aftertaste- possibly damaged? It's not bad but not as impressive as my previous bottle.

The best Pinot Grigio I have ever had. Full bodied and elegant. Tropical fruit and citrus. Wonderful mouth feel with a long finish. Great wine.

Taste New Wines for Nov (San Diego Wine Co.) : WAY too cold Typically, 100% Pinot Grigio from hilly, marly soils of Eocene origin; Fermented 10-12 days in s/s tanks, then aged on the lees for 8 mos; N: Forest floor with notes of minerals P: Med body; RNDISH entry with NICE, slmost swtish frt counterbalanced by an acidity which transitions into a LONG, balanced, tangy/swt finish with OCCACIONAL *hints* of bitterness. For now & probably through '20. My VG+/EXC-, …

At Tasting Event (short TNs)...Agree with Skurtz (except also try the Vie di Romans "Dessimus" which is a notch above). This one is pretty flavorful, found a hint of vanilla, cool, refreshing and the finish is quite lasting which boosted my score from 90 to 91. Buying a few, great QPR.

Papaya, guava in the nose, tropical and complex. Touch of exotic spice too. Buttery patisserie note too; good refreshment here, a touch of that patisserie again with some tropical citrus. Complex finish. Long. Creamy weight.

This is an outstanding Italian white, floral balanced green fruit and dry, with the heft and intensity of well crafted wine. Must be the classiest pinot grigio I've tasted. Perfect with mussels and angle hair pasta with lobster in Hermosa Beach CA.

James Suckling - Great Wines of Italy III - 2018 (The Presidio, SF) : Some melon aromas - like a gruner. Viscous. Phenolic. Medium plus acid. Medium plus alcohol.
