Honey oats on the nose with some reduction. Ripe green apples, guava, lime sorbet and very gentle acidity and minerality. Again the same style, stylish, gentle and confident.

Burgundy 2011 Day 3: Visit to Maison Albert Ponnelle (Beaune, Burgundy) : This was a step up from the village whites, and was pretty good indeed. There was a bit of reduction on the nose, but as that swirled away, the wine revealed a deep nose of gentle white fruit tones, a bit of toast and a rather unusual note cereal oats.
