Well beyond expectations. Deep red, nose of wood and spice, muted fruit, soft tannins, long finish. Wow.

Smooth mellow a bit woody. Beautiful fruit taste. Tannins low. Aged just right. I can�t imagine it being better. Also tastes of delicious fruit the second night.

A dark, fruity malbec. Not heavy. Was excellent right after opening. And was even better on my third glass three hours later. Really enjoyed this wine. Wish I had another bottle.

Dark purple color, with modest aromas of earth and cedar. This is not a chewy Malbec, more of an elegant Malbec, which puts it in the lighter full bodied category; having said that, this is a delicious wine. Luscious blackberry-raspberry, dark chocolate and mocha all beautifully balanced. This is a mouth swishing delicious wine, still got guts for at least 2-3 years in the prime. Got 5 more!

Was fairly thin and no element stood out (fruit, tannin, finish, nose). Some earthiness, but mostly dark fruit. It did not taste beyond its time however.

Some confusion perhaps over producer here. Designated Gogenhiem, but the winery is Calle La Gloria (Gogenhiem uses, but they are producer). So this is Ocaso 100% Malbec - new at private store with above average price - this is a nice fairly standard expression of MB - Nose is dark with light+ oak and berry fruit. 3rd bottle. Score unchanged from previous 2 reviews. I still don't feel that this has passed its peak as it is still going strong. It was rated #90 of the Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2010 and I agree.

Inky purple with a nose of slightly charred oak. Soft feel but lots of tannins lead to a burst of dark fruit. Not much finish.
