very nice new world bordeaux blend. merlot is present in pallet and cab in nose. awesome price value and can easy be stored for 10 years without loosing freshnes/frutis. Perfect now and will be reordered as it was the las bottle

South African wine tour - Day one (Cape Town) : Almost a slightly cheesy note that blew off to reveal spiced plums, a smidge of pencil shavings and an undercurrent of Cassis married to sweet spices and cedar. On the palate it's quite plush and polished, velvety tannins. Again spiced plums but a little richer and more concentrated. Finishes with plenty of alcoholic warmth. Bit on the big side. Hmm.

59/25/16 Merlot/Cab Sauv/Cab Franc. Medium plus nose is showy and flavorful, red plums, cinnamon, violets, fresh herbs, coffee, blackberry. Palate shows unique style, flavors of spice and earth mixed with dried fruits, light black pepper, allspice, black plums, roasted red pepper. Smooth tannins, medium plus alcohol. Interesting, very good.

A delicious Bordeaux-style blend. Well balanced with lovely dark fruit and soft tannins. One of my South African favourites.

Delicious wine. Like many Red South African wines, they do a great job of bottling wines for aging. This will be great in two years and probably many years after.
