Pale garnet in color, this wine reveals black tea, wet autumn leaves, cranberry and Asian spices on the nose. The mouth feel is light bodied with soft tannins and underlying tobacco elements. The finish was very short, leaving little fruit to enjoy. 12.5% abv. Purchased for $23US, this is a decent entry-level Burgundy that would have been much more enjoyable had the finish been as enjoyable as the nose and mouth feel. Imported by Weygandt-Metzler, Unionville, PA.

Big fan of the importer (Weygandt), but this struck me as a very basic, entry-level Bourgogne without much complexity or elegance.

Racy acidity offset by extreme fruitiness which would've been fine if it weren't artificial tasting. You know, that same flavor you get from supermarket California cab. That being said, it definitely came into its stride when accompanied by food.

The fruit is sourced from de-classified Chambolle, Nuits St. Georges, Pommard and Marsannay, all of which is barrel aged. So juicy, inviting and eminently drinkable, and a steal at the @WineDeals price of $19.99 a bottle with no shipping on any quantity. Exactly what I am looking for in this level of red Burgundy. Mouthwatering red fruits, …
