Rich and fruity with abit of spice. Great value.

Another year in the cellar did wonders for this wine. It still has a core of dark berry fruit, but there's now a bit of an herbal edge and a swirling mid-palate complexity with earthy tones mixing with the fruit and herbs. Not a lot of structure, so it goes down way too easily!

I drank this on my own (B was away), but I enjoy the nice fruit with herbal notes.

Quite enjoyed this medium bodied red, well rounded, vibrant red that went well with our lamb skewers and BBQ ribs. Would buy again

Had it alongside a Brunello. Can't say I was as enthusiastic as before.

This is has everything I'm looking for or could want in a $14 CDRV. Nice densely woven nose with red fruit and Grenache under currant - Good complexity. Sumptuous and inviting. In the mouth a tart, ashy, mineral, fruit driven experience awaits. All swaddled in the perfect amount of glycerin for a perfectly seamless finish. First impression: Outstanding and highly recommended. 90-91

Full bodied red bursting with flavour - cherry, hint of smoke, fresh blackberry flavours. Great value and happy to see only 13% alcohol. Drank with bar-b-q lamb chops - delicious. Went out and bought 6 more bottles.

Terrific entry Villages level Cote du Rhone. Lots of pepper and spice on the palate. Earthy bouquet, balanced and lengthy finish. Terrific wine for the price.

I like this. It's got ripe CRD fruit, but it's got a nice mix of light on the palate with black plum flavor that reminds me a little of some Sicilian reds.

Nicer than a bottle a couple of months ago. Less plummy and a bit more integrated. Still a little too modern and surprisingly soft.

Riper and less acidic than most Texier CdRs I have had - just balanced in a different direction. Not overly rich, but pleasing to drink on its own or with leftover Thanksgiving turkey dinner.

how does he do it? What a wonderful wine for the money. Low alcohol in a tough year, perfect balance, sensual but subdued. Wish I had a lot more of this.

Damn good Cotes du Rhone; aromatic nose with ripe berry fruits, juicy with spices and clove notes; fuller mouth for CdR (but not unusual for '07), good extract and fruit on the palate with hefty tannins; Great start to finish, amazing effort for this price. The best of New World Style in an Old World region.

Nicely balanced, but not particularly interesting - there's a core of red fruited flavours and touches of earth, but it doesn't have much in the way of complexity, and finishes a little warm.

Good cheeseburger wine. Fruity, but not flabby with dominant cherry notes.

Lots of fruit - more of sour pomegranate and black currant juice than sweet violet pastils - great grip and very fresh; but perhaps this would need some cellar time to calm down and round out the edges. Second night: this is another wine with deeper and more integrated flavors and less punishing finish. I like it very much - especially for the money

100% grenache. high-toned red berry -- raspberry and strawberry with a little bit of weedy funk (not the 420 type, but actual weed) that wasn't off-putting but more intriguing. medium plus body and acidity, all nicely balanced with the fruit and soft tannins. palate carries the bright berry fruit but also shows a little citric - blood orange note and bay leaf and then a little spice on finish. i'm sure this could keep for at least a few years, …

Rosso: Black frt, rich, drinks like a CdP. Very nice stuff indeed for CdR. Some pepper, old school spice, earth, round, good.

Aromas of clover and spice. Palate of black pepper and cassis. Lingering, somewhat hot, finish. Beautiful and full bodied. The only problem I have with it is a little awkwardness on the back end, and more time in the bottle may take care of that. This is a LOT of wine for the buck. FWIW, while I don't try to guess drinking windows, the 2010 end date recorded for this wine seems awfully short to me.

Medium red. Some nice raspberry fruit but there is a lot of green, Garrigues? God I hope so. Nice medium wieght finish and nice flavours but that greenness in the nose is too much for me.

What a great wine for a NYC blizzard. Warm ripe black fruit, with a perfect balance and a nice spicy kick on the back end (can't believe there is no syrah here). Big, but never heavy and easy to drink. Not the most complex wine, but who cares - it is delicious and a bargain.
