Light yellow-gold in the glass, with a nose best described as white fruit cocktail over slate. Slight petrol note as well. Great nose, even if my choice of words in describing it doesn't really do it justice. Dry and expansive on the palate, sweet and salty white fruits - delicious, and probably at peak.

Light yellow-gold in the glass; petrol scents and white fruit cocktail on the nose. Ripe and rich for a Riesling - this is very good, yet larger-scaled than you might expect. This has been an interesting wine to see develop over the years - at this point, slightly deficient in acidity, so it might be starting to slowly decline.

My better half is preparing a pork roast in an apricot-mustard sauce, so I thought I would pair that up with a couple Riesling. This is light yellow-gold in the glass, with an awesome nose - petrol-marinated white fruits (Apple most prominently) - it's like minerality oozing from the glass! Good acidity, dry, nice persistence. In fairness, the palate is not quite up to that otherworldly nose, but this is drinking very, very well tonight.

Yellow-gold in the glass; pineapple fruit and slate on the nose. Dry & crisp on the palate; nice persistence and adequate acidity - drinking very well right now.

Yellow-gold in the glass; light petrol on the nose. Quite dry, nicely balanced, good acidity - no idea how much longer this might last, but it's drinking very well today.

Light gold in the glass; pineapple scents with a slate background on the nose. Tart & dry on the palate - this is drinking very well today, and I'm going to guess this might be at peak right now, although no indication/expectation of a decline in the near future. I'm having pork tenderloin in a mustard/cream sauce for dinner tonight, and this should be a nice match.

Yellow-gold in the glass; nice petrol-scented nose. Medium-bodied on the palate - a lot going on here, with nice persistence on the finish. Really in a good place right now.

Yellow-gold in the glass, with some minimal effervescence/spritz. Lovely nose of slate and white fruit cocktail, with a hint of petrol. Vibrant and fresh-tasting, tart, with nice persistence on the finish. I would think this is as good as it will get, but I also don't see any reason for hurried consumption if you still have it in the cellar.

BBQ Night at Keith's; 7/20/2008-7/22/2008 (NYC) : floral, powerfully mineral nose, ripe but dry middle, just a touch of rs on the finish, very good dry riesling and excellently priced.

Austria (Wine Exchange in Orange, CA) : Captivating, elegant yet seductive fruit and fine-grained minerality. Succulent, but then kicks you with a steel-toed boot of extract at the end.

Very pale color, nearly waterlike. Expressive nose of lemon peel, lychee, tropical white flowers. Medium acidity on the palate, quite dry, with citric and juniper notes, and intense mineraltiy. Loads of extract, yet the wine is nearly weightless on the palate. Medium length finish that is marred only by a hint of aggressive alcohol.
