Surprised at recent comments as the last three times I have had this it has been excellent. Developed tertiary flavor profile, great balance and fruit throughout. Opens wonderfully over a couple of hours. This won a blind tasting against a strong line up of similar top flight Pinots. Very Burgundian, just sorry this is my last bottle!!

With turkey meatball asian style. Good combo. Found this in the cellar with no CT inventory. Great bottle - still very young with loads of character. Yummy.

Still very young. Crazily alluring nose of fruit and cinnamon. Delicious on the palate, holding the quite high alcohol (14.9) well. Still, too big IMO, for a Pinot. Very enjoyable and crows pleasing on its own, not sure what good I would match with it. Still, for the size, aging very well.

Drinks at Bo and Mich's (Sydney, Australia) : Decent wine, but none of us could identify it as a Pinot Noir when blind. A world away from Burgundy for sure. This started with something caramelly on the nose - like browned butter or really old Gouda cheese - alongside sweet notes of red dates and liquered cherries, all this touched with a bit of oolong tea. Really interesting, but certainly different. The palate was quite intriguing too, with more of …

Beautiful wine that is just entering a long drinking window. Very balanced with excellent palate all around. Nose doesn't quite keep up right now.

Disagree with other tasters. Pretty unimpressive for a Pinot of this reputation (or really any pinot). A bit hot with alcoholic nose, modest fruit, and shortish finish.

Beautiful nose with ripe raspberries, blueberries and some ethereal notes. A dense but not powerful expression on the fruit. The acidity is mouthwatering and the tannins are rather chewy for a Pinot Noir, especially in the finish. This is a masculine Pinot Noir with some attitude and complexity.

Every time I drink these Selleck pinots within a year of release, I always end up feeling the same...too early. There is so much holding back and it will take a good 7-10 years before I think it will show their best. The boysenberry, spice, forest floor and firm tannins are good signs this wine will layer-out in complexity as time goes on. I'm only giving a 95 because it can be enjoyed now, but this will likely go up …

IPOB San Francisco...final event...lots of great wines, short notes... (San Francisco, RN74) : My first experience with this vintner, this was the best Pinot of their offering tasted on this evening... Bright ruby color. Layers of black raspberry, currants, floral notes, herbs and forest floor. Rich and concentrated fruit and long finish. This would not be for everyone at this point given the style, I think this will get considerably better with a few years of bottle age. Need to …

Medium garnet color, complex and fragrant nose, with violets, vanilla, cherry and a touch of raspberry. Nice complexity and warm rich mouth feel. There is a bit of bacon and smoke as well as the expected cherry and a little plum on the palate. Nicely balanced.

Medium ruby color. Nose of cherry, chocolate and violets. Medium weight and balanced. It definitely needs air and was still good the next day. Nice mouthfeel. Flavors are layered with chocolate covered cherries followed by cherry vanilla then spice. Probably best over the next few years.

Better than the previous bottle 6 weeks ago. Young and vibrant, with an interesting habit of changing radically every 30 minutes or so. As it breathed it got more complex and earthy especially after 3 hours or so. Tasted this along side a 1996 Jadot Vosne-Romanee Les Suchots and over the 3-4 hours it flip flopped with the Burgundy over which was better.

Garnet tones with bricking. Floral nose with fruit and stones. Great fruit and grip on the palate. Balanced enjoyable burgundian style pinot.

Medium weight Pinot still not fully mature. Medium garnet with no sign of bricking at the edge. Bouquet is a little restrained with some cherry but also tea and some oakiness and some flintiness. Was a little more open at around 3 hours after opening surprisingly. Flavors had cherry and a bit of anise and there was still a little tannin there.

Eager to try this. Looks to have some age with a brickish hue. Sour cherry, confectionary nose. Superripe up front with little to back it up. Uninteresting and disappointing for the price. It is past its prime. I can't recommend it.

My Weekend's Wines - A Rare Weekend of Mostly CA; 2/8/2007-2/12/2007 (Minneapolis, MN) : I drank this over the course three days, and each day more nuance came to life. At first the wine was dominated by dusty red fruits, but over the course of three days flavors of underbrush, mushrooms, orange zest, and more delineated fruit came forth.

Clear ruby red color, very classic; reticent nose of fruit and stones. Palate shows bright, high toned acidity with good balance of fruit and tannins. Super backbone of almost chewy minerality and good long finish with some grip. An excellent wine in a very traditional, almost European style. Just starting to come around, and will be quite long lived.
