Not quite ready yet, but still very tasty. Tannins were a little fuzzy, and the secondary flavors were peeking, but not yet ready to play.

4 years since last tasted and sadly my last bottle from this vintage. This has 7-10+ years to go, so no rush. Dark fruits, licorice, medium-long finish, great tannin balance.

Deep dark color. Nose of mint, tobacco, and dark macerated red fruits. Real class.

Oh my! What a difference a year has made with this one! Drank alongside Pott Arsenal (also fabulous). This wine is huge but so well put together. Can tell these are mountain berries. Black and blue fruit, some minerality, great balance and fantastic finish.

2007 Cal Cult Cabs (SE, Harlan, etc.) and a bunch more : This was thrown in by the chef/host (he did not need to do that). It held its own. sure it is a bit younger. The nose has black cherries, cassis, licorice and cedar. Not a huge wine, it is in the middle ground. still young and in need of cellar time, it had enough vibrancy to compete for my palate's attention. A long sweet finish. This is young, …

B-day weekend in NYC and what a pleasure to have 2 great bottles of wine on the same night. We had this alongside 04 Harlan Estate "The Maiden". This was not quite as good as The Maiden. But to be fair, it should be noted that there was a 5 year age difference - and I believe with another 5 years of age this vintage could improve a point or two easily. The fruits on this cab could be smelt …

Drank much better than expected. Fantastic combination of balance and concentration. Certainly benefits from some cellaring but offers much pleasure today!

Carl Studer tasting: Napa against Bordeaux (Hotel Metropole, Zurich) : Overall winner of the blind tasting. Chestnut puree, butter, sweet, a bit edgy in the palate but very good overall. Great wine but a bit on the pricey side.
