dark, purplish ruby and medium plus body. nose of mostly red and some black fruit is laced with loads of herbal spice over a soft damp soil base layer. dry and a bit reticent on entry, opens to broad and layered mid palate with savoury accents of herb, leather and black olives. balancing acidity, and grippy tannins that somewhat clip the finish round out the experience. this one needs a good couple of years or so to soften up a …
