92 Espléndido, como siempre. Aún bastante joven. Nariz clásica de Rioja, fruta roja, tostados, coco, algo de cueros. Boca esplendida, acidez perfecta, un muy buen vino. Nunca falla.

Fantastic wine. Still a baby. Still mostly primary with absolute textbook Rioja notes of cherry fruit, leather, tobacco and spice. A hint of the secondary/tertiary is coming through. A pleasure to drink. Drink now if you want the fruit, but it definitely can age for years to come.

Perfectly passable, if nothing particularly racy or exciting about this. Smooth and in a good place right now. Acidity, as always with quality Rioja, dictates it's better with food than without. Some cherry fruit and vanilla. Perhaps lacks a little concentration for me, which suggest it's probably not going to improve or evolve significantly over time. Then again, Vina REal has a good track record, so don't take my word for it!

Dark ruby with garnet rim. Very tight and subdued initially. It was left in the fridge for like a day and a half; it remained relatively restrained yet, it exhibited notes of dark cherry and plum, light barnyard notes, spice tobacco and quite a bit of oak which was not intrusive though. Medium palate with low to medium acidity. Very soft spoken initially but more grippy towards the end; all in a frame of tobacco and well assimilated oak. Probably …

Traditional Rioja. Decent length and good fruit along with oak in Glass straight from bottle half an hour after opening. Glass after a 1 hour decant - Tannins softened, much mellower fruit, oak still present and brought out that true Rioja character. Nice wine though I have tasted much better vina reals - 81, 82 and 95 vintages. This may well be better in 2-5 years. Half a bottle left to re taste tomorrow night.

Very good Rioja with plenty of earthy notes. The color is ruby with raw meat, leather, mushroom on the nose. The earthy palate shows tobacco, tar, blackberry, sour cherry, and a hint of chocolate and plum at the finish. Solid structure with medium acidity and tannins and pleasant finish of low/medium length. Well balanced and fresh that will keep for at least five more years.

Excellent Rioja, good grip and acidity. Interesting to see how this will one will develop in another year or two.

Drank on its own. Quite a classic, well-made Rioja. Seems to to walk the line between traditional and modern. Some barnyard notes, nice fruit but more savoury than sweet, quite obvious oak: vanilla and cedar. Pretty textbook for modern-traditional style really. Very good. On young side so plenty of life ahead I think.

Quite a dense nose, full of tarry black fruits. Fleshy and spicy with nice grip and good acidity. Notes of blackberry and vanilla oak with a lingering blackcurrant and menthol on the finish. Nice.

Enjoyable wine with moderate tannins and acidity. Earthy, vanilla and red berry flavours. A little light on the finish.

Simple and enjoyable Rioja with easy tannins and a earthen tobacco note with some chocolate notes.

Five Nights in Rioja, July 2010; 7/8/2010-7/13/2010 (Rioja, Spain) : Deep ruby color. Nose of sweet, somewhat candied red berries and vanilla, with some funky notes in the background. Medium bodied on the palate but astringent and stemmy. May have been an old bottle (in the tasting room, no idea how long it had been open), but it was not particularly pleasant.
