Baiocchi Syrah Nicholas' Vineyard

A monster, but a friendly one. Decanted off of a bit of sediment. Inky garnet color, tinged with orange. Intense nose of blackberry, cassis, dried herbs. Full-bodied on the palate, with meaty and stony flavors joining the fun. It's full-on yet balanced, syrupy in texture but bone-dry. Finishes with matchstick notes, light tannins, and drying grip. An ambitious bottle.
