This one was in between the last two bottles - nothing wrong with it but it seems on the decline.

An excellent bottle. No cork issues. Earthy, herbaceous, and spicy with nice red fruit in the background.

Cork broke, but the vacuum kept the bottom half at the bottom of the bottle. Weird. You can see right away it's a decently aged Zin. Red in colour, ever so slight bricking at the rim. Nose of spices and dark red fruit. Hints of oxidized aromas here and there. Palate is still rich and full, with even a bit of tannin left.

Surprisingly translucent magenta-tinged ruby. Dusty raspberry, spice and leather nose. Relatively light bodied, cranberries, red cherries, pepper, more dust, smooth tannins, good acid, mint, and a sweet, medium to long finish. Despite the thin color and body, it packs a delicious punch, like a good pinot.

Grilled ribs with BBQ sauce. Decanted for about an hour. Dark fruit (blueberry) and pepper on the nose. Deep color. Spice and fruit on the palate. Very smooth. Nice finish. Everything is in harmony. Simply marverlous.

Wow - a stunningly crafted zinfandel. Great depth, great balance, amazing complexity. Nice flavors of blackberry and raspberry, but not overly done. Beautiful vanilla and spice finish. Amazing bottle of wine.
