Barnyard, forest floor, smoke, vanilla. Cherry, smoke and vanilla on the palate.

This bottle showed well -- its purity and are appreciated. Slightly more fruit than the 2010 that I tasted earlier in the day, but quite similar and consistent.

Much like the last bottle. Very tight on the first night. On the second night, opened up a bit. It's clean with good balance, but lacks depth at this point.

Shut down pretty hard at the moment. There's a hint of what this will become, but for now, this is very tannic and lacking in flavor. Opened up a tiny little bit after a couple of hours of air, but this is likely years away from showing its best.

Affordable Red Burgundy (The Wine Country, Signal Hill, CA) : $29.99. Clean, bright, pure Pinot with excellent balance and good structure. Approachable but structure indicates this will improve with some age.
