This might be the best Rioja that I have ever tasted. Had it with Mexican food. Rich flavor, nice mouth feel, smooth finish.

Muted nose, but a pleasure to drink, with rich dark fruit, silky smooth texture, great balance, and nicely tannic finish. Well priced at $16.

Monthly Tasting Group LTB 2013-02; Lesser known varietals. (By IL) : Pleasant bouquet with dark forest fruits and sweet spices. On the palate a juicy tart with cherries, vanilla and strawberry. Ok balance between acidity and sweetness. Mild tannin. Not enormously luxurious, but certainly a very ok wine. 87 - 88
