Very opaque purplish red. Legs are symmetrical and closely spaced. Nose has green mango, honeysuckle, black tea, baked danish, sour red cherries, slight american oak. Flavors are concentrated, juicy, black currant, blueberry, cocoa, on top of silky tannins. Finish has guava, jellied fig, and molasses. A little heat in back of throat, otherwise an elegant wine. Ready to drink now, seems at its peak with very little decanting. It should hold up 5 more years.
