Slanghoek Legends Barrel Fermented Chenin Blanc

Clear notes of smoke, caramel and toffee, almost showing some torrefaction. A very ripe Chenin blanc with ripe peach and tropical breakfast punch juice. A broad, sweet, juicy palate filled with peach flesh, nectarine, yellow apple and more exotic fruits with vanilla, oak spices and toffee character. A full-bodied wine there is a lactic/condensed milk character. The acidity stays lively keeping the wine flowing. Quite an ambitious styling with oak but well made and I quite liked it.
