Ara Sauvignon Blanc Composite

Found this bottle from 2009 and I thought I would give it a try. Outside the fact that it was past its time, the acidity was alive and kicking with medium +. Medium body and long finish. Citrussy, floral, peach, pear drop and very ripe apple too. Very aromatic actually. So painful that the nutty aroma indicated that this was too old and that the mouthfeel was a bit off. But good nonetheless

Three years old and has swapped freshness and vivacity for a bit more weight and depth. Very unappealing nose of dried cat pee and green leaves. In the mouth a tidal wave of taste. As if someone has turned the "SB characteristics" dial up to 11. It goes one higher. Too intense for me but the future Mrs S was more appreciative.
