A traditionally brewed Flanders red ale is blended with 18-month-old lambic, creating a tart, refreshing benchmark ale. Reddish amber beer with a tan head. Hints of tart fruit on the nose. On the palate, apple and raisiny notes. Delish! $4.50 for 330 ml/11 oz bottle. 5.5%. Will probably buy again, especially if get a fresher bottle.

(Belgians@OakBarrel) Hearty nose of malty chocolate, bright earth, and stones ginger wine. Soft palate with pleasant green apples and vitamin C sours. Lovely gentle complexity - a flemish red which grows on you.
