Ripe red cherry and earthy flavors with clove and vanilla notes on the nose and silky palate with savory long finish.

Crimson in color. 14.6% ABV. Gorgeous nose of red fruits, baking spices and rose petals. Full bodied with exquisite acidity. Bursting with an abundance of ripe fruits. Maraschino cherry, strawberry, cloves and a hint of earth on the palate. The finish is long and supple. Unabashedly made in a new world style that is reminiscent of the early Kosta Browne years. Best over the next 4-6 years.

Decanted for 45 minutes. Aromas of brown sugar and slight cherry. Nose pretty shut down. Flavors of cherry, cinnamon and burnt sugar. This had some volatile acidity on it. Going to say it is flawed for now but will give it more time and see if it resolves. Update: almost the two hour mark and this is a very different wine. Nose of strawberry. Sassafras, cherry and brown sugar. Flavors of cherry, strawberry, hint of cola and cranberry. Just needed …

Cork removed with a two-prong extractor, and is stained dusky purple with no infiltration. Great cork. Nice body and substance, Russian River profile evident but not in extreme. Prior to opening this, I read the CT reviews. One reviewer mentioned that 2019 wasn’t as concentrated as 2018, and as a result the more flavorful fruit may have gone in Cirq. This was in my mind when I opened bottle. I did find this to be true initially. Had this opened …

What can be wrong? Great RRV Pinot

Brambly red berries and a lifted freshness from orange peel and rose petal on the nose. The palate is filled with juicy red fruit and a sprinkle of spice. Tannins feel fully resolved and has a gentle black tea finish. This is a solid wine, but lacks the fruit concentration of the 2018 Chev - no surprise given the cooler year. Having had the 2019 Cirq around release, I also can't help but feel this is a year where the …

Off the charts. Deep and rich, moreso than the mag of Cirq RRV I paired it with -- and with Friendsgiving Turkey, Cuban pork and so much more. This wine fired on all cylinders, delivering amazing notes of cherry, black tea and so much more.

Exceptional RR Pinot! Had it with an eclectic pairing. Indian Marry Me Chicken, rice, asparagus, and slow cooked lamb shoulder. It was da bomb!

Displays a bright, medium ruby color. Very expressive and fresh aromatics and flavors: spicy and juicy red fruits (cherry, strawberry, raspberry, and pomegranate), cherry blossom, spring forest, Christmas spice, herbal tea, and plowed red dirt. Smooth, balanced, and enticing mouthfeel. Finishes very long. Love the approach and overall balance. Should drink well into 2030+.

Excellent right out of the bottle. Cherry fruit nose and flavorful light-med body. Had it with fresh tomato pasta.

I wanted to like it more than I did. Still a bit tight. Not sure if more time will fix it.

Not as good as my previous bottle, it lacks depth and complexity with a shorter finish. I’ll wait on my final two bottles to see if they get better. Still primary at this stage.

Good, lacking a bit of something. Wait to open the next one. I think it needs a little more time to develop some flavors

We received this as part of our SommSelect subscription. A lovely, lively, beautifully complex wine from the Russian River Valley. This wine has characteristic fruitiness but also a solidity and substance that make it stand out as truly special. Elegant, vibrant, and lovely. It would pair with many medium to lighter foods, including a pesto pasta with veggies or a roasted chicken dinner. Enjoy!

This came with a buddy to a dinner/tasting yesterday. This showed really good. I found the balance to be there, with fruit, acid, wood and weight all right in proportion. We had several CA pinot noirs open and this was for me the best bottle on the table.

Really really good right now. Given that the 2019 Cirq got 100 points, I expected this to be good and it didn’t disappoint. I’ve yet to try my 2019 Cirq, but if it is better than this, that is going to be special. As far as this goes, drinking really nicely now, maybe some upside if you hold. I’ll probably drink 1-2 bottles a year over the next few years, and leave my magnums for another 3-5.

Got even better with time, it’s come together really well, with mellower tannins. Michael Browne does it again.
