Mellow and delicious. Not at all over the hill. Smooth, well integrated with nice depth and tertiary notes.

Exactly as noted 2 months ago. While not always a surprise, at 8 yrs of age the bottle-to-bottle consistency of this chardonnay is to be highly commended.

Slightly cloudy, still medium straw-colored. Honeysuckle richness without being heavy or buttery. Toasty oak noted in May '19 shows nicely on the lingering finish. Don't let this get too cold, just below cellar temp here. 2-3 years of peak drinking ahead easily.

Our final bottle of this benchmark (at least for us) Oregon chardonnay is much more mature and atypical of its former self. Still delicious, but has evolved into more of a food wine than a sipper. Drink and celebrate this achievement now!

Sleek, slightly more rich and round. Saline and stone, crisp hint of lemon and apricot. Lingering curd and toast finish. 1 left to drink in 2020.

Still going strong. Rich, full body with lemon curd, honeysuckle, beeswax, and some citrus zest. Fresh streak of salinity through the finish, which has nice length and balanced acid.

The best Oregon Chardonnay! Just enough oak, tremendous fruit, wonderful food wine, equally wonderful just drinking on its own.

Slightly cloudy, as all minimal intervention BTF chards are, very medium straw-colored. Taking on richness without being heavy or buttery. Very restrained oak toast starting to peek thru. Very clean finish with a hint of slate and salinity. Don't let this get too cold, just below cellar temp here. Great stuff, recommend drinking in the next couple of years.

Notes of bruised orchard fruit, honey and hay on the nose. Some sea air too. There’s a lot less acid on the palate, the lemon notes are creamier and not as bright, adding apricot, sea salt and a bit of spice. Still enjoyable but for me it’s starting to slip, happy I got to my last bottle when I did.

It's all been said below, quite accurately. I think CellarTracker's BTF fans have these beautiful wines figured-out. Impressive how this 2012 wine is holding up without any intervention in the winery. Don't drink ANY of them too cold, just below cellar temp IMHO, to really let them show their stuff, and to showcase the winemaking style. 2 more btls to enjoy over 2 more yrs.

Better than I remembered from a couple years ago, but I think I enjoyed it slightly less than the 2013 vintage. Nicely balanced Oregon Chardonnay that is (at least) good, year in and year out.

Lovely wine, showing some age but remains bright and vibrant. Smells of light sea breeze with notes of tropical fruits. Slightly musty, but in a good way. Drinks really well - notes of lemon, beeswax, vanilla, citrus leaf and white pepper. Lightly acidic, round, lingers - great showing.

Clear-ish light gold color. Smells of butterscotch and almond and white fruit. Very appealing. Rich, but balanced, it shows full buttery texture, but a fine acid streak that provides structure and lift. Very fine. Long, saline-spiked finish that makes the mouth water. Feels like a young Chablis. Good depth and verve. Very fine. Glad to have more.

Don't drink a lot of domestic chards as I typically find them too gussied up. Really liked this were there was a hint of oak but it was definitely not front and center. Fruit is tropical / lemon and leans more to tangerine as the temp comes up. The oak ads support but isn't buttery in any way shape or form. Well done Brian and Clare. Cheers!

Clear, light-gold color. Alluring aromas including hazelnut, slate, butterscotch, acacia, lime zest and pear. Rich and silky on the palate, melding the aromatic profile into layers, a bit more tightly wound than an earlier bottle. Bright and well-integrated acid, sturdy overall structure, fine density, and good overall depth and length on the finish. Really nice, feels a bit shut down at the moment, check back in a year or two.

This chard did not disappoint - my first taste since purchasing it at the winery several years ago, when I thought it was likely the best Oregon chardonnay I had tasted. At the very least, it's right up there with Ayoub, Domaine Drouhin, and Evening Land. A very Burgundian style with oak present but not at all overpowering, very complex flavors, clean on the nose and in the mouth, with a very pleasing long finish to it. Brian has the …

Thanksgiving Chardonnay. I remember enjoying this bottle more the last time I had it. Not sure if it is in a funky place or the fruit is beginning to take a backseat.

Big, rich and round, but not over-the-top. A slightly creamy veneer surrounds the pleasant stone, tropical, and citrus fruit. Tasty, made in a crowd-pleasing style.

Lovely, balanced Chardonnay. I probably would have said it was from Burgundy if I tasted it blind. Mild oak, maybe some pear. Nonetheless, pretty expensive.

Very good. Floral, mineral, crystalline sweetness. Citrus notes are secondary, orange peel more than anything else. And another Big Table effort with that awesome autumn leaf / maple syrup note that adds earthy depth. Flexible stuff too; we paired with mushroom lasagna, but this would complement light or heavy fare. I regret not buying more.

This is light and subtle Chardonnay, lovely clean fruit flavors with floral scents. Excellent acidity on the finish. Distinctly different from an oak flavored buttery Chard.

Lovely aromas of citrus, minerals and orange peel. Richly textured and creamy on the palate. Green apple, lemon, pear, and a zesty, fresh mineral and saline element on the finish. Lengthy finish with soft but balanced acidity.

Consumed over 2 days (recorked and left on counter), note from day 2. Nose: Medium expressiveness, green apple, meyer lemon, licorice, minerals, and marzipan - complexities abound though intensity is limited in comparison. Palate: Medium full bodied, crisp green apple and meyer lemon attack, nice acidic lift through the mid-palate, licorice undertones and minerals join in harmony in the back-end and dominate a surprisingly long subtle finish that lasts a minute or more. Sneakily good in the sense that it …

Light gold color. Very pretty aromatics of lemon zest & cream, honey, allspice, fresh flowers and sandstone. Sublimely balanced on the palate, showing seamless zesty citrus, soft sweet and savory spice, mineral, rose hips, tea, hints of butterscotch. No one flavor stands out, but the subtle mix builds to a full and rich intensity. Structure-wise, this shows bright and balanced acid, and a beautiful silky mid-palate, building to a full finish that accentuates the sweeter side of the spice and …

One of my favorite Oregon chards- nice mineral and lemon and melon favors. Had a bit left and if anything better after 24 hrs- perhaps a touch too cold on day 1 (as noted by others- it's closed up when cold). Really nice stuff at reasonable QPR

Delightful, self-assured chardonnay. A modest 12.5% yet mid-full bodied, just lush enough to balanced the meyer lemon acidity and minerality. Can't emphasize enough that you serve this at cellar temp, 50-55 and not right out of the fridge. So good, so Oregon.

Willamette Valley late June tastings : Aromas of lemon, slate, white flowers, cardamom. On the palate showing rich stone fruit and orange with white pepper and silky spice. Bright and vibrant acidity with fleshy texture. Rich fruit and mineral-driven notes on the finish. Very complex. Excellent.

A Day in the Willamette Valley (Willamette Valley, OR) : Lemon curd, citrus, and some tart fruit on the nose. On the palate, it's rich and full, showing green apple and green melon with a nice mineral streak. Lovely finish, with excellent balance and lots of crisp, refreshing acidity.

Pop n poured. Followed over 3 hours. Left on table and allowed to warm from standard fridge temps after 15" drive to restaurant. Oak and lots of it on the aromas and palate. The wine seemed to be a juxtaposition between RRV chard and Oregon. Good acids (for Cali, or just decent for OR). Lots of toasty oak (for OR, or judicious for RRV). The wine was big and palate coating. Definitely thick. This probably serves as a nice winter-time …

13.9%...not exactly what I had hoped the wine would be, just not my style. Richer, more viscous style than I prefer. I am sure there are very good customers for this wine.

13.9% alc...cloudy, med gold...nose of cream corn, leesy, bright tropical fruit, mango...medium full body, nice minerality, intense and rich but somehow balanced with bright finishing acidity....the finish continues to build in the mineral, wet rock sort of direction, not as much about fruit...very pleasurable. Not my normal style, but pleasurable. Oak very apparent at this moment on the nose and palate.
