Outstanding Washington merlot.

Dark, burly almost opaque. Nose is pungent, nothing subtle except hints of marzipan on the back end. On the palate, a powerful, almost exuberant blending of dark fruit and a firm, robust tannic backbone. Tannins are still dominant at this stage of development - I could almost add cab to soften it for immediate drinking Washington fruit, yes, with hints of an old world acidity and tannic underpinnings that suggest the best is a few years off.
