Blue Mountain Pinot Noir Wild Terrain Block 09

PnP, dark cherry, a bit of earth and spice, good acidity. Absolutely lovely, but would probably give it an hour in decanter if drinking right now. Certainly will continue to improve over the next 3+ years.

Tasted after a two hour decant. Pale to medium ruby in colour with initial classic aromas of earthy forest floor & somewhat floral red fruit. On the palate, medium bodied savoury red fruit, raspberry/strawberry, red cherry, candy, cloves, well integrated oak, high acidity, low soft tannins with a long finish to spice & minerality. This wine is a lovely Burgundy style & easily as good as Willamette Pinots I’ve tasted. Definite cellar improvement potential.
