Our second bottle of this wine, though purchased from a retailer not the winery itself. I'm afraid the wine was past its prime. Flavors were jumbled, and the acidity that we enjoyed four years ago was gone. I'll be curious to see if others have the same experience going forward.

Great Chardonnay. Vibrant nose and well balanced fruit on the palate.

This was very good. Apple, pears, pineapple, hints of citrus, slight caramel and butterscotch. Excellent acidity. Should evolve and drink well for a while.

Excellent. No tasting notes. Recall a good balance of fruit and acidity. Oak not in the way.

Drinking very well at present. Nice pears and apples with baking spices and soft lemons. Improved since fall 2017.

Pop and pour and followed for about 3 hours without food. Straw color; clear. Nose offers some stone fruit, light apricot notes. Fresh and rich, with a good mouth-feel. Notes of peach and apple with sufficient acidity to carry the fruit. Delicious.

Medium straw color in the glass with a slightly unctuous character. On the nose we found peach, passion fruit, caramel, and a hint of oak. On the palate honey and green apple predominate with creme brûlée and oak in the background lending a really nice degree of complexity to the wine. Others with a more experienced palate will find other elements. There’s a prominent minerality that transcends the entire experience, from entry through a long finish. Bright, crisp, elegant, and …

Very light gold. Firm and elegant, lightly spiced, green pears. Medium long, finishes clean and precise.

Crystal clear, golden yellow color. First nose of mineral, light floral and faint oak finished with citrus and pineapple. Flavours of pineapple, tons of lemon, mineral finishing with a slight bitterness and grapefruit. Medium to full bodied, nice complex, long finish and a juicy acidity. Good stuff!

Nose: Pineapple, Starfruit, and nice Nutty Vanilla notes. Perhaps a slight honey note. Palate: Pineapple, Meyer Lemon and Green Apple. Nice balanced palate that is very full in the mouth, but never gets heavy. Nice creamy note in the mid palate and crisp acidity at the back end. Finish: Bright tropical fruit and tart acidity. Nice wine.

Really terrific Cali chardonnay. Very balanced, ripe lemon flavors, lots of crisp acidity on finish. Lightly oaked. A definite keeper on a shrinking list of must buys.

Pop and pour and served in plastic cups on a sailboat. And still, Wow. Delicious floral nose with hints of lemon-lime, honey and pineapple. Wonderful rich wine, with pineapple, Granny Smith apple and lemon meringue pie, all framed with good acidity. Rich and robust but not showing oak nor vanilla/butter. Delicious wine. Unable to comment on the color - plastic cups and all but this is a well balanced, rich but elegant wine.

A remarkable Chardonnay. Crisp, citrius, some floral tones, very light oak. If you like cakebread chard you will love this wine. Quite the find!

Wow, best chardonnay I've had from Auteur. Lemon zest plus big fruit. Maybe these wines are best consumed young. Just delicious.
