Philippe Brugnon Champagne Premier Cru Cuvée Élégance

Wow. Took a couple bottles to a restaurant for a birthday celebration, Brugnon was serving backup to an older white I thought might not have lasted. Unfortunately, it was the bourgogne rouge that was off, and it wasn't noticed til the first taste was poured just before the mains. Brugnon had no qualms about being paired with braised short ribs and lamb, and saved the evening. This drank wonderfully--definitely my style champagne. Excellent Champagne. This was the starter bottle for this year's Thanksgiving dinner.

Very nice but uninspiring. No wow factor.

Good but an amazing amount of bubbles....almost foamy.
