Typically deep garnet color. Not a strong nose but nice baked fruit. Entry is tasty with a dry smoky finish. Quite a masculine bottle. Very good overall. Well made. Until 2028.

Lovely silky smooth and mildly perfumed. Bought at the winery a few days ago and can't wait to drink some of the many wines I bought there. Fantastic value.

Opened yesterday. Very restrained. Tasted again today. Has opened up nicely with solid blackberry, currant, other black fruits. Hints of licorice, tar, spice, etc. which are quite nice. Keeping a few bottles to see if they improve.

Très long.

A bit herby with a fat buttery backend, due more to maturity than oak, I think. Drink up, this is now past its peak.

Very good-value aged Loire red, plenty of excitement here. Great freshness on the palate, enlivening acidity, good dark fruit, hints of green pepper (I like this, it should not be considered a flaw) and still quite tannic. Hints of barnyard on a couple of the bottles, but not overpowering at all, and it blew off quickly both times. A good, lively wine.

still has good cherry and raspberry notes; rounder simpler, and less vegetal than i recall, but some tobacco and herb notes; still has some freshness and remains quite enjoyable

Not my favourite style of Loire caberet franc (rather too much tobacco) but nicely mature. Substantially better with food.

Assuming from Galichets name, from a gravel terroir. Has the grass with lemon peel nose I've experienced in other gravel terroir Loire reds. Also plenty of tart red fruit, some tobacco and a hint of leather, but more herbaceous in a refined manner. Flavors are mellow, tannins resolved, though acidity is noticeable in a good way. Herbaceous yet fresh on the finish, with some intriguing spiciness (no heat). Elegant, pure and quite alive at 13 years! Only objection is the …

Opened and then recorked for about 2 hours. Showy nose, with herbal, green tobacco slightly outshowing raspberry. Lively, fresh and complex with different notes showing, including at one point hot pepper, minus the actual heat. Very good.

If you open it now, decant it for at least 2-3 hours. It's a very smooth wine, with more complexity than you could tell just by smelling it right out of the bottle. A great, classic example of a properly aged Bourgueil.

This one took quite a few sips to get a fix on. Nose of Ditto fluid, old leather, earth and touch of aniseed. Mouth of crushed dried rose petals, sawdust and basil. Medium length but incredibly smooth finish (no tannins left) of pencil shavings. Was still drinking well after two hours of decanting. The Ditto fluid was a bit overpowering at times but this was a thoroughly captivating wine.

All the greenness you'd like complemented by pure fruit. Very polished, beautiful.

Light color with brown at the edge. Piercingly pungent, lean, green nose. Light in the mouth with strong minerality and acidity. It retains just enough sweetness of fruit and an interesting element of black licorice on the lingering finish to avoid being too severe and astringent. I liked this but would not wait a moment to open any remaining bottles as there is nowhere to go but down from here.

– popped and poured – – tasted non-blind – NOSE: smoke and lots of sweet tanned leather; some non-descript red fruits; as it opened-up in the glass, the bouquet started to smell more like a horse barn; the bouquet was moderately expressive. BODY: hazy; inky garnet color of great depth; medium bodied. TASTE: strong leather note is repeated on the palate, alongside primary raspberry; secondary hint of spice; embedded minerality brings a nice sense of earthiness to this wine; long …

Wow, I didn't know Loire Reds aged this elegantly. Still young after 10 years. I want more.
