Finally showing some tertiary character meriting attention. It was rather closed on opening but then shows a good leatheriness, a bit of potpourri, still got that bitter cherry liqueur thing going on, good weight but not oppressive, then quite bracing acidity and firm tannins. A quality glass of wine.

Ok, compared to my previous note, this has definitely settled down, although I find it very hard to describe. The fruit is quite pure black cherry, and somehow both concentrated and light. There’s a bit of chocolate and them even a cassis/Cabernet character at times - it really changes in the glass. A bit of salt water and tobacco too, and all the flavour is at the edges of the palate. Probably enjoying this the most out of all the …

Looking back at my previous note I can't quite believe I said this was elegant! It does indeed have a savoury roasted meat quality on opening; with a lot of air though it transforms into this really high octane, wincingly concentrated wine with layers of cherry, jam, black fruits. Supremely polished. In need of serious laying down?

Nice spicy herbes de Provence, groseilles rouges, fresh, hint of mineral... Very delicate groseilles rouges, nice sappy acidity, good length, very feminine and delicate.

Dominik Huber of Terroir al Limit - Priorat Talk and Tasting (Texas Wine School, Houston, Tx) : A: Deep purple N: Red plum, blackberry, raspberry (underripe. A little bitter), graphite. Medium (-) intensity P: Dry, full body, high acid, medium (+) headed to full body, medium intensity and finish. Medium (+) tannin and medium (+) alcohol C: This is missing intensity right now and the tannins seem rather chewable. Not balanced yet, Not complex just yet but shows some promise. …

Tasted double blind. The bouquet offered purple and black berries, schist, graphite, no perceptible alcohol and an marked absence of wood. The wine tastes like it smells, with commanding range and depth. The deep purple essences, schist, low alcohol, and absence of lumber put my mind to steep terrace Gigondas, my guess. Spanish Monastrell also seemed possible, but so many examples are extracted, high alcohol, and timber laden. Fine wine, one that I would like to taste again.

Soft, plush and fruity, like a new World Merlot. Juicy, fruity and too young at this point.

A very refined priorat. Reductive, meaty nose - smoke and roast meats. Palate is supple and elegant with soft tannins. A pleasant surprise for my experience of this style. Will watch with interest how it ages.

100% Carignan, north exposition. Flower nose , red berries, spicy, rose petals… Very cold tannins, light and delicate, you can feel that the wine is north faced… others preferred than me.
