Seems almost thick when pouring, cloudy. Reductive and acidity almost springs up the glass with gravel, white peach and some butterscotch. On the palate, clean, wild and high aciditc intensity which almost carries it all the way leaving no room for anything but structure and some citric acidity mid-palate. Only downside is that high intensiity makes the finish seem somewhat short and makes the acidity appear more like vinegar. But p’n’p.

NIght at Convivial (Convivial Champagne Bar) : Trepail Les Hauts Bouitais, old vines from 1962, vinified 23 months in 228 l barrels, bottled 25 Jul 2022, aged 21 months, 932 bottles, rather muted both of the nose and palate. High acid, good precision. Probably needs a bit of time to integrate in the bottle.

This is seriously some of the best Chardonnay Coteaux coming out of Champagne - holy moly… Quite young still and an extreme freshness and sharp acidity, giving me Bourgogne 2021 vibes, and the oak is so restrained and well-integrated already with such a deep concentration of fruit; that’s really giving me Puligny vibes!!! It even held itself on Day 2 and Day 3 and just kept the same intensity, concentration and complexity. This is serious stuff and I will let …
