Deep ruby colour. Appealing nose with gum notes. Generally good balance on the palate, but dominated by tannins and with limited fruit counterpoint, and a slightly stalky finish. Solid food fine.

As expected. Full bodied with ripe mulberries with plenty of soft ripe tannins. Hints of black pepper and also chocolate.. Almost good value if on sale. Feels like the result of high extraction from grapes that were fully ripe but from high yielding vines.
