Still brilliant. Apricot and marmalade fruit, a touch of wood. Still has lashings off acidity to balance the depth of sweet fruit

consistently good. Been a while since I've had one which is probably why I enjoyed it to this level

A very attractive wine, as ever, and a great bargain.

As with previous vintages, this is an excellent wine and remarkable value. Loads of honey, marmalade, peaches, pineapple, ginger, (still with the traces of curry that I noted in the 2011 vintage) but retaining the superb acidity and balance. Unbelievable QPR.

Amazing QPR. Still the best value dessert wine you get IMHO. Deepening slightly with a little more bottle age. Plenty of marmalade and apricot fruit and great acidic zip to it. great with cheese or just own its own as liquid dessert

As for the 2008 - deep colour, rich botrytis and marmalade nose but with the unexpected 'curry' character noted by a reviewer of the 2009. Rich apricot, complex, honeyed fruit with enough balancing acidity to counter the high levels of sweetness. Half of the wine was still good after an accidental 2 weeks in the fridge! (Perhaps that is a factor in the developing 'curry' character which was short-lived in the glass). Exceptional length with the 'lip-smacking' characteristic noted earlier. …
