Tastes nicely but probably a bit on the late side. Last bottle so ok.

Took about an hour, but the wine really opened up. Pleasant aromas and fantastic on the palette.

I have had this vintage 2009 several times before and I honestly was not impressed compared to the price level it carries. Anyhow this was my last one and waoo now it got right. Now tannins are completely smoothened out in a well-balanced soft mature berry kind of way. I loved it and finally I can comfortably continue to explore the San Polos.

Classic Sangio color. Delicate wine but still energetic and racy on the finish.

Three and a half hour decant, this has a classic brunello nose and palate, with the nose more of the standout between the two, I drank this one slowly to enjoy the aromas. Medium bodied with medium finish, the QPR is not great but it is a solid example of sangiovese made reasonably well.

Seems to lean toward the lighter side of bunellos, a nice balance of red fruits and earthy notes, smooth tannins, low acidity, ready for the cork screw.

Tasted blind. Orange rim, spices on the nose. Round, soft, mature feeling initially, high acidity, a little bitterness in the finish. Develops quickly in the class, very mature after 2 hours. Guessed Chianti, 05 or older. After 4 hours the broke down completely with vinegar, fishliver oil and botrytis notes. Very surprising giving the young age. 89p

Richly fruity and dark and dry tannins on the back. Good stuff.

At lunch at Il Villagio, we pnp'd, fruit on the nose, the palate was berries, red plums, tobacco, leather and a taste of fruit cake. The finish was lingering .

Takes a while to open up. Oak and drying mouth feel at the open yield to a concentrated fruit dominated profile. Dried berries, wild red fruit, volatile aroma of tree sap flesh out the palate. Mostly impressed by the wine's overall freshness and the slow unpacking of a tightly bound concentrated fruit aromatics in the aftertaste.

Slightly tannic at first, this becomes a very drinkable wine with notes of blackcurrant and a smooth finish. Excellent with cheeses (especially pecorino and Grana Padano), cured meats, terrine and bread.

(At BBR's Italian Tour 2015) :: Delicate, quite soft but very well proportioned on the nose, showing a lovely balance of spice, rose and cherry. A rich, enveloping mouthfeel; again superbly balanced, with fine tannins and a med/long finish

A nice red fruit driven sangiovese wine. Just didn't have any earthiness.

Some oak, incense, tart cherry, orange, simpler but very good.
