This matches many of the French Bordeaux wines I have had. Great flavors. Not a style I would expect from Washington State.

Black cherry compote, warm cedar shavings, cassis, and that signature Red Mountain dust — sun-baked but somehow still cool to the touch. As it moves, darker tones come forward: cocoa nib, a little graphite, a flicker of dried sage that feels like a hand brushed against desert scrub. On the palate, the wine moves with the quiet strength of the site — dense but not heavy, the tannins fine-grained and savory, the fruit deepening toward blackberry and plum skin. There’s …

Richly oaked and highly structured up. A powerhouse of concentration and oak.

Pronounced aromas. Fine grained on the palate in its tannins, which ride along on the back. Long finish that way. Kinda one note in the the dense extraction way. Just opened so I would guess it will smooth out. Above average quality. At $60 its a solid value.

Served by the glass on a United flight from London to Houston. Very deep dark purple magenta color. Candied blackberry and blueberry cobbler summarize the notes very nicely. Smooth, dry, moderately extracted palate. Soft, satiny tannins on the medium finish. This is a terrifically fruit forward porch pounder. In the same neighborhood as Prisoner. Judging wine on a plane is not very reliable, so take all of this with a grain of salt.

Smells like really good Red Mountain fruit and then allot of oak on it. Lots of delicious cherry fruit to it. Dense and super powerful. Rather darn delicious. Maybe just a touch of green.

Glass pour in Polaris Class. Good enough weight and depth, certainly ripe, borderline sweet.
