Have enjoyed Brander wines since there early beginnings ..and they have been a leading force in styles and terroirs of Santa Ynez Adjacent to Santa Barbara . They make a central coast, this bottling and a few others only available from the winery. Herbaceous and grassy / hay on the nose with clean yellow green color… pretty classic. Nice citrus, body and balanced weight with a well made profile. Exotic and regal fruits of crisp pineapple, guava, lime, salt, and …

Last tasted a few months ago. My wife and I have really liked the regular Brander Sauvignon Blanc (Los Olivos District) for many years now. except for a brief period long ago when the style was temporarily changed. A refreshing wine with good Sauvignon Blanc typicity. 90+

An interesting long array of Lime, Lemon, & Tangerine. Has a wonderful complexity in acidity You might only see in Sancerre ( small round stone type) . Lovely white flowers, with under ripe white pomelo, this effort & it’s haunting acidity & minerality is a Gem For Raw seafood or spicy Thai. At $14, I fell like I am in Cher, I’m grabbing some of this. A well respected producer maverick for expressions of SB. Explore their portfolio. Cheers!

Pale light straw in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of grapefruit, lemons/limes & apples with overtones of grassy & floral notes of honeysuckle, minerals, stony & a hint of lemongrass. Light bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of lemons & limes, grapefruit and tart green apples, some lemongrass, stony & minerals. Lingering crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present & should develop further with another year …

The king of Cali Sauvignon Blanc has another winner. Great acidity, substantial but balanced grapefruit, maybe a hint of minerality.

Winebar [2 Whts & 6 Reds] from 05/12/17 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA) : N: GRASS with notable earthy & (poss) funky undertones P: MF body; Rndish entry with almost swtish frt, acidity adequately balancing. The long, tough for me to parse, finish & mid-P seem a bit on the hollow side @ this juncture. HOPEFULLY this will come together over the next 6 mos or so. Otherwise, mediocre & a potential dislike. [As of mid Apr '20, wine-searcher …
