Weinhof Scheu Spätburgunder trocken

Interesting German Pinot noir, aka Spatburgunder, tonight. Bright red fruits and rocks on the nose. Light sour cherry, cranberry and pomegranate at first, super tart and acidic hit on the mid palate, like a real mouth watering pucker going on here! Medium finish, faint barrique then quickly fades to black. A better standalone quaffer than a dinner wine, it was overwhelmed even with a mild salmon dinner. Would make a tasty summer deck Pinot for sure.
