Still quite fresh and vibrant with notes of dried herb cherry and developing some secondary pinot characters with age. Great wine for its age

Opened and consumed, this purchased from the cellar door on our honeymoon. Brick to clear at the rim. Foxy musk on the nose, with rose and humid toast. Lithe and medium body, showing nice sweetness on a madierized profile. Some mandarin and oak chip as well. Very nice surprise, delightful.

Med+ ruby with touches of garnet. Med+ nose with aromas of cherry, raspberry, baking spice, earth and a bit of funk in the background. Dry, med+ alcohol, med body, med+ acidity. Med intense flavors of cherry, raspberry, spice, vanilla. Med length with a nice finish. Overall a really nice wine. I bought this for $9 in Mar'10, and suspect it hasn't been stored in perfect cond. That said, it doesn't appear as though it was poorly cellared or exposed to …

Shy, reclusive nose. Palate is hot/sharp. Lacks texture.

Amazingly complex bouquet with cherry and menthol. Palate is unfortunately quite bitter. Decanted for 40 minutes, but the fruit is still hidden--maybe not there (it has been in other bottles)? There are hints of cherry and plenty of oak.

Pinots of the World Offline (Rococo Restaurant, Glasgow) : This is a much deeper colour than the Sanford. Very sour-cheesy nose like cheap, stale supermarket parmesan, but with a minerally hint. A bit hot on the attack with a curious bitter fruit character. Very open and a touch floral on the palate. Possibly South African pinot noir, though I'd expect that to be more floral and scented. Very Good Indeed.

From the beautiful Central Otago region. Medium ruby in color. Nice nose, with earthy cherries, mushrooms and white chocolate. Sour cherries and slight earthy notes on the medium bodied palate, and a slight glycerine texture. The acid was a little too prominent for my liking. A solid if unspectacular Kiwi pinot (B+).

Awesome wine. Rich and velvety mouth feel and full dark fruits that explode on the palate. Jumps in your mouth and has a lovely finish. Definitely one to find and purchase again.

Purchased off the list at landmarc and consumed over 2 nights. For me, this is Bourgogne from New Zealand, plain and simple- nice cherry fruit, balanced with decent length and some earthiness. very enjoyable for its level, but at $30 retail it should be more than that.

Very much like the '01 Peregrine that I had not long ago, though not quite as lush and powerful. It's fruit-forward and a bit herbal, with some caramel and raspberry throughout. The finish is rather more watery than the '01 is, but otherwise this vintage -- like that one -- is good stuff for $25.
