Nose of stone fruit and buttered toast; leesy toast and butter notes more prominent over time with air. Medium to full body, with good weight, highlighted by stone fruit and buttered toast/popcorn notes. Continues through the mid-palate. Moderately long finish on a grapefruit-like acidity. Had this along with the La Crema Monterey chard. This one had more body, a rounder/creamier texture and a bit riper fruit. Very nice compared to more expensive Chards. We're fans of Rombauer chards and while this is not as good, it is also $20 less expensive. Well worth a look.

Had alongside a 2013 Rombauer Chard. Held its own though not as good as the Rombauer - but half the price. Great value when you are in the mood for this kind of fun drinking, fruit driven, "buttery" chardonnay.
