Much better than the bottle I had only a month ago! So much more fruit and liveliness in this one with much less barnyard and Brett notes. It felt lighter and more red fruited as well with juicy red berries and a lovely acidity and freshness, still with some sous bois and very, very low Brett.

Thankfully not one of the flawed bottles - apparently a lot of bottles of this specific vintage has a tendency to lose all the fruit within 10-20 minutes after opening? Not this bottle! It’s quite a dark and more brooding wine, although no tannins left, but it has quite an animalistic element with hung meat, game and iron while also showing quite some barnyard funk - too much for my wife, but still within the limit for my personal preference. …
