Henri Germain et Fils Meursault 1er Cru Les Poruzots

Heavily premoxed. Deep dark golden color. Tired palate. Will try another bottle in the upcoming months, it shouldn’t be like this.

C’est bon mais il s’agit d’un Meursault d’un profil évolué. Un nez de pommes cuites, la bouche démontre des notes oxydatives sans un profil 100% oxydé. Couleur topaze pâle, notes de noisettes, peu de tension. Les notes typiques de Poruzots avec des fruits mûrs et des épices douces. À considérer pour un accord avec les fromages ou même le foie gras. À boire.

As before. A little advanced for my liking

Advanced. Very golden in colour. Good acidity on the palate. Ripe fruits. Not quite as it should be

Very consistent with prior bottle. Light golden straw in colour. Hint of spice on the nose. Orchard fruits. White fruits. Lovely mouthfeel. Soft and inviting. Crab apple and pear flavours on the palate. White pepper on the finish. Touch more spice on the finish. Really great balance. Love the balance and tension of this wine. It’s got everything. Delicious.

Good pairing with with a “Foie gras poêlé”. Nose of white ripe fruits, spices, and some honey. The wine is fresh with medium acidity but a nice richness and roundness, not too much to lose the balance, the palate is wide and generous, good length and delicious finish. 92-93 Pour aller avec un foie gras poêlé, accompagné de poires fraiches flambés et sauce balsamique.
