Big wine. Big oak, big fruit, you get my drift... Really chewy bitter finish with a spicy warmth coming from the oak and the alcohol. No shrinking violet here. Lacking a touch of acidity at this stage but still enough life - drink up though. Food wine.

I liked this. Pretty good body and length and refreshing without the over salinity or tanginess you get with simpler Albarinos. Went well as an appetizer with some vegetable crisps but would go well with fish.

Checking in on a few local wines with a group of friends in Portimao/Portugal. Varietals: Antão Vaz (50 %), Arinto (30 %), Roupeiro (20 %). Medium yellow. This is a fresh and simple aperitiv wine but not more. Reminds me a bit of an Albarino aroma and style wise.
