Slight brown tint, A little age showing through. Cedar cherry nose. Still some tannic structure. Sour cherry, forest floor. This is the best bottle I have had out of a half dozen. Totally different from that 2012 and even last years bottle. Great food wine now. Maybe hitting its peak. Will try again in a year or so. Big step up from previously consistent 88 bottles - 91 pts

Significant amount of fine sediment and brownish hues makes me think this is entering the maturity zone. On the other hand, the sour cherry and methanol nose indicate potentially a longer life. Very dry, softer with tart cherry flavors and almost no oak.

Nice light ruby color. Nice earthy nose. Less tannic than last tasting in 2012 though still quite sharp. Notes not that dissimilar from last time.

Lighter in color for Barolo with some brown hues. Tobacco, cherry and the phenolic nose characteristic of younger Barolos. Cherry palate with loads of acidity. Oak is noticiably absent.

Fairly typical nebbiolo nose though fairly light. Not very robust flavor profile but tannins still fairly sharp and cut through food fats well. Just not a very powerful and flavorful Barolo. More muted. I can see the tannins softening over the next 10 years so this has a good deal of life but it will always be a weaker wine with a simple structure. A good spag and meatball Barolo.

No decant. Beautiful dusty garnet color. Mild nose, earthy, tobacco and nice. Age showed in the color, nose and taste; not past its prime, but had a distinct "old" feel. Fairly acidic/tannic/dry, no fruitiness or lushness about it. Definitely not a sipping wine, needs food to show its best.

Decanted and poured, a little alcohol, cherry and violets in the nose. Soft red fruits, vanilla and cedar on the palate. Moderate finish, overall simple, soft and elegant, easy to drink over the near term.
