Red Tail Ridge Winery Blaufränkisch

Tart cherry juice and plums with cinnamon and a nice smoky finish. Faint hints of licorice and grilled vegetables. Cayenne pepper on the finish, like I get with lots of Blaufrankisch. At first this seemed a little lighter in style than some of the other recent Blaufrankish wines that I’ve tried, but it picked up some body with a few hours of air. Nothing super special here, but for the price, I’m impressed.
