Ninety+ Cellars Pinot Noir Lot 89

See previous notes. A really good value Pinot Noir. Unfortunately, as is typical with the negociant approach of 90+ this is not likely to be found again. This was the last bottle. A good everyday Pinot. A bit one dimensional but at $18 a good value

Medium purple color. Medium body. A bit more fruit on the palate and less earth than most Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir Ihave tasted. None the less, a good value and nice every day Pinot

Really nice everyday Pinot. Good value. Day 2 was very good...was smoother and more full bodied on 2nd day. Would buy again.

Great value for Cali pinot. Bought several bottles, consistently good.

Nice bright cerise color. A bit of smoke and spice on the nose. Light red fruit on the palate upon opening. After about 30 minutes became much more balanced between the fruit, spice and earthiness. This is a bit light right now but will improve with a little age. Definitely needs to open for 30 to 60 minutes. Tough to argue against any Pinot from Sta. Rita Hills.

Solid daily drinking Pinot. A bit closed initially, needed about 20-30 minutes to open up. Most prominent characteristics were cola, cherries. Enjoyable, and would buy again.

This was decanted for 2 hours then drank over an hour. The nose on this gave of scents of raspberry, cola, brown sugar and hint of herb. Flavors of strawberry, cherry and cola come through on the palate. This wine really picked up steam about 30 minutes in, improving from a 88 to an easy 90. Finish was also very nice. Pretty impressive wine for only $18 and speaks to the strength of the 2012 vintage.
