Pleasant enough glass of red wine, on the ripe and fleshy side for Pinot Noir, in fact hardly recognizable as the varietal. But a tasty glass of wine with grilled food. But not a particularly good value wine from Garagiste.

Herbal. Spicy. Pine resin. Rather burly for an alpine Pinot at 14.5% but certainly juicy and enjoyable.

Was a little awkward on the pop n pour. But with about an hour of air, and assisted by our Greek-influenced grill out, it came into a much better place. Ended up being quite enjoyable.

Notes after following for two days open. Medium ruby color with some fine, suspended sediment creating a haze. Some cherry and dry brush on the nose. Light to medium flavors of red berry pie and apple. On the light and acidic side but balanced with enough fruit and tannin to make it credible. It certainly can't be categorized as either Burgundian nor New World. It has its own little twist on the prototypical Pinot Noir theme. 4+10+15+8= 87
