Still vibrant, if not v complex. Cherry with a little blackberry upfront, moderately quick finish.

In a 12 person six wine blind tasting, this wine did poorly but for the price, not too bad for a nice wine with a chocolate touch though none of the 12 tasters picked up on the chocolate. Fun wine and nice for Valentine's Day

Bright beginning with some sweetness. A shade on the thin side. Good lingering flavor.

It's sweet with a very complex finish and a somewhat light body.

Drank this with Joe and Deb. They brought a Cameron Hughes Lot 106 Sonoma Syrah. The Chocolate Box needed some time to open up - even with aerator, no nose at first. Over time, nose... arose... As it opened up, seemed to be a bit of a fruit bomb, with vanilla and mocha. Joe and Deb preferred this over the Syrah. I found it a bit sweet (like Hoze did) and gravitated to the Syrah as both opened up.

Pleasantly surprised on the taste and smell of this wine. A bit sweet (as the name implies) but not a dessert wine. Nice to have solo and not necessarily with meals. I'm going back for a case.

I think this wine is very interesting, and wonder if it can get better over time. A nice one that we enjoyed after dinner after two superior top shelf cabs, and it didn't let us down.

Big, rich nose. The palate borders on being over the top, but I think it keeps from falling over. The only problem with it is that it's too expensive.
