Black Market The Syndicate Red

Received as a gift, and with relatively low expectations I am mildly impressed. Med-Dark Ruby in colour with slight rimming. Fine, grippy tannins. Earth and leather, dark berries, not overly fruit forward. Med+ acid. This meritage hits a few (affordable) LB Bdx notes better than a lot of BC reds out there. Getting some oak, but not overloaded by any means. Might help that it’s got 6 years of age. For $35, it’s definitely worth trying.
