Crisp for CDP Blanc. Very Refreshing. Loads of tropical fruit without going over-ripe. This wine is in its prime now. Enjoy!

This was quite a typical example of the oddity of white rhone. First night, upon opening this was pleasant, quite linear on the palate with a bitter lemon tang. On night two, this has opened up, and once combined with friendly food (prawns, garlic, orzo, and basil) it really comes into its own. Light gold colour, nose implies more oilyness than the palate presents, which remains quite linear and direct. Now though there is real spice, more depth, bitter almonds …

My favorite vintage. Balance, complexity, fine straight lines. Not too much, not too little. This plus the price makes it a go to weekly wine! Over 20 bottles over the years with consistant notes

Fruity, perfumed smell. Very young. Green fruit finish. Score going higher in a few years? Not familiar with CDP whites...Tasted at Uncorked 2009 Rhone en Primeur.

Notes from wine tasting of "Comparitive Wine Styles" - no observations on colour -- I found the wine to have pleasing herbal notes (including thyme) and stone on the nose. I found this wine to be surprisingly smooth and enjoyable as I typically find CdPs to be to big and powerful for my taste (the few in my cellar were either gifts or emphatic recommendations from specific merchants). I preferred this over the 2004 Delisio, Catalyst (Australia).

A gift from the domaine. Pale lemon. Light, refreshing, easy drinking. Clean, pure taste. Citric acid. No great length. It's much paler and lighter than previous Pegau whites. I suspect they have added some Roussanne. g

My visit to Domaine du Pégau (TN: 2000-2003 CnDP and more...); 6/14/2004-6/16/2004 (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhône, France) : Tasted from bottle. Like the 2003 this is nutty yet also showing a hint of nail polish. On the palate this is somewhat astringent with excessie acidity, less flattering than 2003.
