Opened the bottle yesterday and never got to it so I put a stopper in it. Today I poured it and what a different drink. Really good. It was totally resolved and the fruit was shining thru. Perfect with a pork roast on the grill. Glad to have more.

Into a decanter for a couple of hours. Just a great basic Chianti that hits all the right notes. Full of cherries, strawberries and some residual from the oak, but in a good way. Tannins perfectly balanced. Best bottle yet.

Once again I decanted this bottle for 5-6 hours. Again this is spot on for a very drinkable weeknight wine. Nice a dusty cherries, leather and some black cherries. Great QPR.

Decanted for 6-7 hours. What a difference this made. Deep color and a nose that highlights black cherry, strawberries, and fresh cut flowers. Really nicely balanced and a mouthful of cherries, bitter chocolate, orange rind and a hint of tar. Best bottle by far.

Another dried out flat Chianti with some high scores from "experts". How do critics and wine shops get away with this? So discouraging.

So I bought a couple of cases for a week night wine. As before it’s been extremely variable. Last nights bottle was much more filled with fruit and the tannins very relaxed. We enjoyed the bottle. Tonight I opened another. This one is much more tannic and has that bitter screen that covers the wine. Where’s the fruit?? With food it’s just ok. Not a rebuy. I’m going to save the rest for cooking pot roast.

Decent Chianti, drinkable. Lots of fruit, but not very complex and a short finish. Easy weeknight or party wine.

Ive gone thru a couple of cases as a weeknight wine. There has been a lot of bottle variation, ranging from a decent weeknight wine to one that is undrinkable. Last nights was undrinkable. Bitter, vinegary and a total lack of fruit, which is just what an entry level chianti should be full of.
